Legend has it that when angels appear, you\u2019ll often see them encased in beautiful osmanthus flowers – an evergreen shrub that blooms with leathery dark leaves, small bright flowers and dense but sweet black fruit. An explosion of colour, coming in either white, pink or orange flowers, and with a deep scent, has resulted in this plant being known as the fragrant olive, the sweet olive, or the tea olive. Hailing from Asia, osmanthus flowers have a rich history. The name itself comes from the Greek \u2018osma\u2019 which means fragrant and \u2018anthos\u2019 which means flower. Believed to symbolise faithfulness and true love, osmanthus flowers can often be found in wedding bouquets and its scent is hailed by perfumers all over the world.<\/em><\/p>\n
